Cantabiles ladies took time
out in November to enjoy one of their regular get togethers for
lunch at Casa Campisano in Daya Vieja. Funny how people always look
good after a meal

June 18th at La
Siesta Church

Cantabile Singers preparing for the concert at
La Siesta Church, on Saturday evening. The concert was extremely
well attended by a very appreciative audience. Monies collected went
towards the up-keep of the church.
This is our last concert before retiring for
the summer 'sizzle'. We have had a great year and are now preparing
for our Christmas selection of songs. (No rest for the wicked) We
hope you have enjoyed listening to us as much as we have enjoyed the
singing. Don't forget if you are interested in joining us please get
in touch, it might just be the best decision you make this year.

Cantabiles' Concert for
Alzheimer's Appeal



An appreciative audience of nearly
200, includingg
many Spanish
people plus cameras from Torrevieja
Television , witnessed a superb performance by Cantabile Singers at
Palacio de la Musica on Saturday,
21st May
in aid of the Alzheimer Appeal. Aided and abetted
by a
talented and youthful Ukrainian singing group - Corona de Flores and
Girasol - and a master class of duet piano playing
from
Cantabiles' pianist Nataliya Khomyak and her sister Nadiya Khrunyk,
Cantabile entertained the audience with diverse works from Paul
Simon, Lloyd Webber, Dvorak, Morricone, Strauss, Novello,
Mendelssohn, and Cantabiles' theme song written by M.D. Jennifer
Morton.
Soloists Phyl Webb, Alicia Muddle, Jennifer Morton and a duet from
Eve Day and Patricia Flint added to an excellent evenings'
entertainment.
Cantabiles' next performance will be a concert of Sacred and
Contemplative Music at La Siesta Church on Saturday, 18th June at
7.30 p.m.

The choir had a lovely day out visiting Jalón. The town boasts a fantastic market. To the left were fancy
goods to the right were antique stall which were fantastic. I wish I
had seen this part first I could have spent all day looking round.
Pedreguer, with it's beautiful views, is where we
stopped to have a lovely meal at Montrose Restaurant, We passed
through Polop and Altea where the scenery was wonderful and the
blossom was unbelievably pretty. We arrived home about 7pm sated and
happy.
